Anoka took three out of four in conference play to move into a tie with Blaine atop the Northwest Suburban at 9-2. The Tornadoes defeated Centennial 6-1 May 9, lost 6-2 against Elk River May 10, then defeated Totino-Grace 5-4 May 11 and Robbinsdale Armstrong 3-1 May 13. Against Armstrong, Hunter Smith threw a four-hitter. Against Totino-Grace, Charlie Buffie had two hits and two RBIs and Nate Tillman earned the complete-game win. Against Centennial, Noah Johnson tripled and drove in two and Cam Kramer tossed a three-hitter.
