The first step was taken by the Anoka County Board Aug. 27 to replace the existing heating system in buildings at its Rum River Human Services Center campus in Anoka.

The board approved a contract with Cool Air Mechanical, of Ham Lake, for installation of a hot water boiler in Cottage 9 in the amount of $129,625 with $20,000 for asbestos abatement.
