Striking up the patriotic spirit for the upcoming Bicentennial celebration the Spring Lake Park council has ordered a cost estimate to paint the city’s water tower red, white and blue. Located atop Able Park overlooking the city of Spring Lake Park, the 250,000 gallon water tank is in need of a new coat of paint since peelings and rust marks have become apparent on the structure.
The flower colors were vibrant and the jams and pickles were plentiful at the first Ramsey Farmers Market.
The Anoka County Fair comes to town July 22-27 and features fun and activity, contests and entertainment, food and festivities for folks of all sorts.
Anoka’s two banks have deposits of $1,090,703.13. If the deposit of banks are indication of the prosperity of a city, then Anoka can be counted as a financially strong city. The Anoka National and the State Bank of Anoka in their report of the conditions of the institutions show deposits of over a million dollars, which speaks well for banks and the city.
