A Blaine woman, who took out a credit card in the name of a vulnerable adult without his permission to make $1,484.54 worth of purchases at the Coon Rapids T.J. Maxx store, has been placed on probation for five years by Anoka County District Court after pleading guilty to one of two felony charges.
The man shot and killed by two Ramsey police officers outside a Ramsey day care center Thursday afternoon, Aug. 28, has been identified.
A 34-year-old man was sentenced Aug. 8 in Anoka County District Court on a felony charge of domestic assault stemming from a Coon Rapids incident.
Attempts to rob Third Avenue residence frustrated. Sunday morning the residence of Selden McGaffey was entered but the sneak thief was frightened away. He gained entry by cutting the screen in a window on the north side of the house. Misses Bessie and Bernice McGaffey were asleep down stairs. The former was awakened by the man prowling about down stairs and called to her father. The intruder made his escape before Mr. McGaffey could get down from up stairs. Tracks were found the next morning leading toward town.
A Blaine man was charged with felony domestic assault after allegedly attempting to choke his fiancée and threatening to burn down their Blaine home.
Two men and a 17-year-old male are suspects in a July 31 Coon Rapids aggravated robbery case. Two of these suspects were also allegedly involved in another robbery case in Coon Rapids July 30.
