A Coon Rapids youth has been accused in Anoka County Juvenile Court of three armed robberies at Coon Rapids business as well as a car-jacking at a residential home in the city, all in a period of less than three weeks.
A Blaine woman, who took out a credit card in the name of a vulnerable adult without his permission to make $1,484.54 worth of purchases at the Coon Rapids T.J. Maxx store, has been placed on probation for five years by Anoka County District Court after pleading guilty to one of two felony charges.

Attempts to rob Third Avenue residence frustrated. Sunday morning the residence of Selden McGaffey was entered but the sneak thief was frightened away. He gained entry by cutting the screen in a window on the north side of the house. Misses Bessie and Bernice McGaffey were asleep down stairs. The former was awakened by the man prowling about down stairs and called to her father. The intruder made his escape before Mr. McGaffey could get down from up stairs. Tracks were found the next morning leading toward town.
