The District 15 School Board voted unanimously March 10 to ratify an independent consultant’s recommendation that former human resources director David Lindberg, who left his position amid controversy Jan. 8, should be discharged or terminated from his role.

All Anoka-Hennepin schools will be closed and all programs and activities will be canceled Friday, Feb. 21, due to heavy snow, high winds and unplowed roads. Staff should not report to work; buildings will remain closed.

Area school districts have pledged that children will never be denied lunch after a report by Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid found that a number of Minnesota school districts deny children a noon meal if they cannot pay for it. Some literally take meals out of children’s hands and toss them in the garbage while kids watch.

The St. Francis School Board reached agreement Jan. 27 on the hiring of independent counsel to review a case that has resulted in Superintendent Ed Saxton and Director of Human Resources David Lindberg being placed on paid administrative leave.
