Jesse Hopkins doesn’t claim to be a member of the baby boomer generation, but he has come to share an appreciation for the life and times of those born between 1946 and 1964. Hopkins, who turns 40 this August, is 10 years removed from being an official “baby boomer.”

Dust, drag racing and disreputable behavior in parking lots have been causing problems for residents in the northwest section of Blaine, and two petitions brought before the Blaine City Council at a Sept. 5 meeting outline some of the problems. Residents of 90th Lane near University Avenue presented a petition asking city help in eliminating excess traffic, speeders, hotrodders, disorderly conduct in the Hofbrau parking lot, and drunken driving.
