Well-known Anokan and lifelong resident John Mann died Nov. 4 at the age of 84.
Through Veterans Day ceremonies today (Nov. 11), schools and local groups across Anoka County honored the men and women who served to defend America.

Michele Diers, of Oak Grove, a registered nurse employed by the University of Minnesota Medical Center since 1988, was presented on Thursday, Oct. 23 with the prestigious Nurse Of Vision and Action award. The award recognizes nurses who exemplify excellence in nursing practice.
