Patti Carlson was the winner of the week 49 trivia contest to mark Coon Rapids’ 50th anniversary as a city.

She correctly answered the question, “Who was the first Coon Rapids fire chief?”

The answer is Harold Bartholow.

 
First doctor in Coon Rapids

Coon Rapids’ first doctor, Dr. Matt Plasha died Aug. 7, 1974 after a two-year battle with cancer. He was 56 years old.
