Nowthen Lions to host ice fishing contest |

Ice fishing enthusiasts will take to East Twin Lake Saturday, Feb. 6, in the first ice fishing contest sponsored by the Nowthen Lions Club.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the contest starting at 11 a.m. sharp. The final weigh-in is set for 2 p.m.
Prizes of $250, $100 and $50 will be awarded for the thee largest fish caught.
There will also be door prizes awarded throughout the event, kids’ prizes, a same-day raffle and hot food and drinks available.
Tickets are $10 per hole and are available in advance or on the lake Feb. 6.
No portable ice houses, coolers or glass containers are allowed.
A complete set of rules will be available at the weigh-in table the day of the contest.
Parking signs will direct anglers at the lake and special assistance is available for those in need.
Proceeds will benefit the Nowthen Lions Club, which was formed in 2007.
