According to the Sgt. Gary Voigt of the Ramsey Police Department, the rear-end collision took place at 6:49 a.m. in the left lane of eastbound Highway 10 just west of Armstrong Boulevard.
The rear-end collisions happened because inattentive drivers were going too fast when the traffic light at Armstrong Boulevard was turning red, according to Ramsey Police Chief Jim Way.
Nobody was cited because it was hard to determine who was at fault with six vehicles involved, Way said.
The cars were piled in a way that it looked like a Hollywood movie set, he said.
For 120 minutes during the morning rush hour, eastbound Highway 10 traffic was diverted onto Llama Street and over to Riverdale Drive, Armstrong Drive and back onto Highway 10, according to Voigt.
