A new senior pastor at Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Ham Lake will be installed during Sunday, Aug. 1 services at 8:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Rev. Dennis Goff has 24 years of experience in churches in his home state of Ohio and in Florida. He was most recently at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lakeland, Fla. Goff was born in Columbus, Ohio.

Goff said he has been impressed by the staff at Family of Christ Lutheran Church and the growth of the congregation.

Goff has been married to his wife Laura for 25 years. They have a 21-year-old son Thad and a 17-year-old son Theo.

His hobbies include road biking with his wife, walking and reading.

Officiating at the Aug. 1 installation services will be Rev. Lane Seitz, president of the Minnesota South District of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Rev. Mark Noren will be preaching.

Rev. Kenneth Harste has been the interim senior pastor at Family of Christ Lutheran Church since Rev. Dennis Perryman retired in January. Harste will remain on staff as the associate pastor.

Church services are also on Saturday evenings at 5:30 p.m. Through Labor Day, Wednesday evening services are at 7 p.m.
