Staff writer The public is invited to attend a 6 p.m. April 30 grand opening ceremony for the new concession stand facility at the Andover Station North ballfields.
Starting at 7 p.m., there will be two scrimmage games. The 14A and 14B teams will each play teams from outside of Andover. The concession stand will be open. A special deal of a hot dog, chips and pop for only $1 will be available. The new concession stand building also includes bathrooms, meeting rooms and storage rooms. It was paid for through a partnership between the Andover Baseball Association and the city of Andover. The Andover Station North ballfields are located along Jay Street, north of Bunker Lake Boulevard.
