NSC Stars future is up in the air

Nine months after the idea of bringing back professional soccer to the National Sports Center in Blaine, became a reality, the future of the NSC Minnesota Stars after the 2010 season looks bleak at best without some help from community.

Stabilizing the neighborhoods
Anoka County has another federal pot of money in which to tap for its Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP). Last fall Anoka County received $2,377,310 in federal NSP dollars from the Housing and Economic Recovery Act to acquire property, demolish or rehabilitate abandoned or foreclosed properties, offer down payment and closing cost assistance to buyers or create a land bank to assemble land for future development.
