The future home of three athletic fields and a city park on the northeast corner of 161st Avenue and Tulip Street in Andover is still just being referred to as the 40-acre site.
The North Metro Soccer Association and Andover Football Association are writing checks to help make a planned 40-acre Andover city park a reality.
The Andover community is invited to city hall Thursday, Feb. 7 to see the master plan for a new 40-acre park.
Andover is about to have two more soccer fields.
Twila Hauck has been frustrated when she sees closed signs go up at city parks such as Prairie Knoll Park. The city has had to close fields from time to time because of the heavy use they get from associations.
Two more park projects are moving forward in Andover for 2012.
