Anoka hit the Aquatic Center pool at the University of Minnesota as part of the 1,100-swimmer strong Maroon and Gold Invite Sept. 7. The Tornadoes placed 11th in the maroon division with 108 point, three points behind Chaska, while Farmington won the team title with 315 points.

Blaine’s girls’ swimming and diving team won its second Section 7AA title of the season Saturday afternoon at its home pool inside Northdale Middle School.
Blaine girls’ swimming can add a program first as the group won its first Section 7AA True Team title at its home pool, Northdale Middle School, Oct. 13.
Anoka boys’ swimming and diving began 2012 with a 100-84 win over Elk River in Northwest Suburban Conference action Jan. 3. That win was followed by a 103-78 loss to Lake Conference powerhouse Edina Jan. 6 before hitting the University of Minnesota pool the next day for the Maroon and Gold Invite.
