A wild comeback by Blaine in its home opener Friday gave the fans dressed in patriotic gear a reason to rush the field after pulling off a 22-21 win against rival Anoka.
The Huskies compiled a 3-2 record at the Southwest Challenge in Marshall Sept. 5-6 including wins against Owatonna (2-0), Jamestown, N.D. (2-1) and Sioux Falls Roosevelt, S.D. (2-0). Andover lost to St. Michael-Albertville (2-0) and No. 8-ranked (Class A) Heron Lake-Okabena (2-1).
Four distinguished athletes and one coach will be among the second class to be inducted into the Anoka High School Hall of Fame on Sept. 11.
A kick off to the season saw the Huskies off to a 3-0-1 start with the wins coming in a span of five days at Huskies Stadium.
