Despite unanimous approvals on Wal-Mart’s final plat and reconstruction plans for Ball Road, the Blaine City Council May 15 had some disagreements on construction times for Ball Road and whether the city should purchase an affected home.
Walmart’s impact on Ball Road has been the No. 1 concern of a Blaine neighborhood. After three hours of presentations and testimony Jan. 16, the Blaine City Council said more research needs to be done on this and many other issues residents have raised.
As the Blaine City Council listens to residents’ opinions at public hearings next month about a proposed Walmart along Ball Road, it will have no recommendation from the Blaine Planning Commission beyond the fact that the preliminary plat meets all city code requirements.
