One of the fastest state swim meets in memory included Anoka, Andover and Blaine (Class AA) and Spring Lake Park (Class A) as a few meet and program records fell in the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center pool Feb. 28-March 2.
Spring Lake Park boys’ swimming and diving team continued its impressive season at the Class A State True Team meet at the University of Minnesota Jan. 26.
Anoka boys’ swimming tested the field at the Class AA State True Team meet to place ninth among 12 teams in the University of Minnesota’s Aquatic Center Jan. 26.

Anoka boys’ swimming and diving repeated its Section 7AA True Team title with strong performances throughout the line-up, highlighted by captain Nick Hedman winning six events, the Tornadoes divers success and several meet records falling in the Northdale Middle School pool Jan. 19.
One of the boys’ swimming season’s top events of the calendar, the Maroon and Gold Invitational, brought together 57 teams across four divisions at the University of Minnesota’s Aquatic Center Jan. 5.
Anoka returned to the Class AA State boys’ swimming and diving meet after the team won five events en route to the Section 7AA title. Forest Lake (325) was runner-up followed by an impressive surge by Andover (292) to finish third and Blaine (271) was fourth.
Once again Anoka emerged with the top program in Section 7AA’s True Team-format meet at Northdale Middle School Jan. 14.
