A traffic signal on Bunker Lake Boulevard in Andover was severely damaged the morning of Jan. 20 when it was struck by a garbage truck dumpster with a malfunctioning hydraulic lift. One year after wrapping up the reconstruction of Main Street in Blaine and Coon Rapids, Anoka County is shifting its focus north to another major east-west corridor.
Anoka will go out for bids on a project to build a new road and signalized intersection north of Anoka High School.
Anoka County needs 60,000 cubic yards of sand underneath a segment of Bunker Lake Boulevard being reconstructed and it will not have to go far to get this fill.
