At some point last winter a friend of mine had a brilliant idea to run a marathon.
We’ve completed a number of 5Ks, 10-milers and half-marathons so the natural progression was to take that next leap to a full 26.2 miles.

As Master Gardeners we promote the concept of integrated pest management, hoping you will not get to the point of asking that question. The basic concept is that prevention is better than cure, which can be illustrated in terms of your own health.

Brent Hatch missed running the infamous Boston Marathon last year after recovering from an Achilles’s tendon injury. The teacher from Madison Elementary School in Blaine knew this year would take an extra effort – not only to qualify but to run close to his sub-three hour time on the famed 26.2-mile course.
