Seniors Tykeise Johnson and Austin Anda return for what will be a third varsity season in the backfield for an offense that showed glimpses of its potential last fall, winning only three games during a season that opened and closed in Fridley at Totino-Grace and are off the 2014 schedule.

Anoka The defending Section 5AA champion and Northwest Suburban Conference runner-up girls team returns several runners from last fall but graduated its two strongest performers. A man has pleaded guilty to one of three felony charges in Anoka County District Court filed following his arrest for firing his gun at and striking two Coon Rapids townhomes.

Coon Rapids tennis was eager to get the new season under way, coming off last season’s success combined with veteran returners and newcomers to the top team.
The girls opened the 2014 season with a 2-1 record as host of the Cardinals Invite on the Bob Pivec Courts August 16.
