Mounds View completed its remarkable march to the Section 5AA girls’ hockey title when it held off a hard-charging Blaine (14-11) squad for a 5-4 win Feb. 17.
Anoka came into its Section 5AA semifinal game as the top seed while No. 5 seed Blaine looked inferior on paper, despite splitting the season series, of which were both one-goal games and one went into overtime.
