Coon Rapids snapped a string of seven winless games with a 6-1 rout of Cambridge-Isanti in the seventh-place game at the Cardinal Cup Dec. 28.
When it comes to cancer, sharing stories with others can be quite powerful. Hockey is one way to bring people together for a cause and that’s exactly what happened earlier this month at Coon Rapids Ice Center. The arena was the site of a day-long (Dec. 7) fund raiser to benefit Jaela’s Ultimate Cancer Shutout in conjunction with the Blaine and Coon Rapids youth hockey associations.
For the third year in a row, Coon Rapids and Blaine met outside in January to renew their girls’ hockey rivalry.
Top girls’ hockey seniors from each section gathered for the Senior Classic, the final tournament of the season, at the Schwan’s Center on the National Sports Center campus in Blaine the first weekend of March.
