Blaine completed one of its best regular seasons going 19-3-2 overall and 18-2-1 en route to the Northwest Suburban Conference championship, after finishing the regular season with a 5-1 win over conference runner-up Centennial Feb. 1.
Four area schools will be represented at the Class AA State Track and Field Meet after successful performances at the Section 5AA meet held on the same track as the state meet.

For the first time in four years, Blaine (9-4) scored first in the annual Teddy Bear toss game, in which the first goal of the game triggers fans of both teams toss stuffed animals onto the ice. The animals are collected by both teams and donated to area hospitals, police, fire and crisis shelters.
