The message was to the point at two Memorial Day services hosted Saturday by the Anoka County Veterans Council – “never forget, ever honor.”
A man of deep family devotion, a love of country and a fierce determination to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in war, Tony Glavan, of Coon Rapids, has made it his mission to place a Minnesota flag on the grave of each Minnesota soldier buried in the U.S. Military Cemetery in Margraten, Holland.
