Rep. Connie Bernardy, DFL-Fridley, filed for re-election for the Minnesota House of Representatives in District 41A, the community in which she grew up. The district includes Fridley, New Brighton and Spring Lake Park. Bernardy is a Spring Lake Park graduate.
Life-long Anoka County resident Peter Perovich will run for the Minnesota House of Representatives in District 35A to represent the cities of Anoka and Ramsey. Perovich, a Ramsey resident who grew up in neighboring Anoka, was the DFL state senate candidate for District 35 two years ago.
Mandy Benz received the Republican endorsement for Minnesota House District 37A on the first ballot at the local convention in March. Benz has previously garnered several endorsements from issue advocacy groups including Minnesota Chamber, National Federation of Independent Businesses, National Rifle Association, Minnesota Concerned Citizens for Life and Voices of Conservative Women.
