Spring Lake Park’s Lighthouse School is one of 34 in the nation to receive the National Football League’s PLAY 60 Super School grant this year.
Midwest Dairy Council and the Minnesota Vikings teamed up to reward Fuel Up to Play 60 youth leaders from Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota, along with their advisers, with the ultimate game day experience: a run through the players’ tunnel in front of 64,000 cheering fans prior to the Vikings versus Chicago Bears game Dec. 1 at Mall of America Field.
The event signifies the start of construction on the 65,000-seat, 1.7 million-square-foot facility, scheduled for completion in July 2016.
