Minnesota United FC announced plans to continue to play home games at the National Sports Center in Blaine through the 2016 season during a post-season press conference at Brit’s Pub in Minneapolis Tuesday.

Coming off a near month-long NASL break, Minnesota United looks to get back on the winning track and regain their NASL form against the Spring Season Champion, Atlanta Silverbacks – the team that clinched the Spring Season crown on United’s home field back in the Spring Season finale on July 4th.

Midfielder Miguel Ibarra scored late as Minnesota United FC topped Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire 1-0 at the Toyota Park practice fields in Bridgeview, Ill. After a slow start to the preseason, United FC has now won four consecutive games by a combined score of 15-2, posting three shutouts along the way.
