A man who pleaded guilty in Anoka County District Court to a felony charge for attempting to strangle a Coon Rapids woman twice in a domestic incident has been put on probation and given jail time.
St. Francis and Coon Rapids trap shooters took part in their first state clay target tournament at the Minneapolis Gun Club in Prior Lake. The June 14 tournament was the first to be presented by the Minnesota State High School League along with the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League.
