After two seasons on the sidelines, St. Francis native Samanatha Rivard came into her first college competitive indoor track season with high aspirations.
Yesterday’s wind and rain made for some challenging conditions for the Northwest Suburban Conference (NWSC) track and field championships – even delaying several events – and yet records were set and champions emerged from the events staged at Coon Rapids High School.
St. Francis girls and Spring Lake Park/St. Anthony boys took home top honors in North Suburban Conference track and field championship contests which ended last night (Thursday).
With nine first-place finishes in the May 10 section 5AAA True Team Track and Field Championships, Blaine boys and girls took home second place team trophies.
