MAC plans to sell or lease land near airport

The Metropolitan Airports Commission is looking to market two properties by the Anoka County-Blaine Airport.

The Metropolitan Airports Commission wants to sell or lease two pieces of property near the Anoka County-Blaine Airport.

On Sept. 3, the Blaine City Council will be reviewing the commissions request to rezone the two properties and approve a comprehensive plan amendment. The earliest the council could vote is Sept. 17. If the council says yes, the commission could start marketing the property “within a week or two,” said Eric Johnson, MAC’s director of commercial management and airline affairs.
