Ramsey extends Tinklenberg contract for 10-Armstrong project

It is estimated to cost $35 million to construct an interchange at Highway 10 and Armstrong Boulevard. Those who have been lobbying for federal and state funding believe the project will happen, but the Ramsey City Council decided to extend the contract of its hired lobbyist Elwyn Tinklenberg to Nov. 7 to ensure its success. Those who have campaigned for a new Highway 10 and Armstrong Boulevard interchange are optimistic it will happen, but the Ramsey City Council wants its hired lobbyist to remain active until a promise becomes reality.

The council Sept. 23 on a 6-0 vote, with Councilmember Randy Backous absent, approved extending the city’s contract with Elwyn Tinklenberg’s The Tinklenberg Group to Nov. 7. This decision costs the city $6,700.
