The Blaine Police Explorers were recognized at the beginning of the Oct. 16 Blaine City Council meeting for the group's accomplishments at state and national competitions earlier this year.
At nationals in July in Bloomington, Indiana, a Blaine team was the best of any others in completing an arrest and search scenario. The white collar crime scenario team earned a respectable fourth place.
