Spring Lake Park High School announced that it had evacuated students from the building due to a threat on the afternoon of April 24. The announcement came in a message to parents that same afternoon.

"Just after 1 p.m. this afternoon, we evacuated Spring Lake Park High School after receiving a threat," the message reads. "We are working with local law enforcement to investigate, and we have evacuated the building out of caution and to ensure student and staff safety."
