Iftar

Iftar

Fridley High School’s Salam Club hosted its second annual Iftar Night in the school gym on Thursday, April 4. Iftar is the fast-breaking meal that Muslims eat after sunset during the holy month of Ramadan. Iftar Night offers FHS students and staff the opportunity to enjoy this important meal together.

This year’s feast began after sunset at 7:46 p.m., when the more than 60 attendees started filling their plates with food catered by Big Marina Grill & Deli in Columbia Heights. Other activities included painting, Arabic calligraphy, and trivia.
